The Center Forjando Huellas is proud to present a series of protraits of the inspiring children who attend the center. Today, the story of Carlos Saul.
I am 10 years old, I was born in the city of Tarija on April 22, 2011, I live with my mother whose name is Nancy, she is also from Tarija, I get along very well with her, she worries a lot about me, she gives me advice and helps me when I don't understand something at school. My father's name is Bladimir, I have no contact with him because he abandoned me, but I do not hold grudges.
My father figure is my grandfather who supports me a lot, my mother works very hard, although she is a seamstress, she cannot find a job and she is washing other people's clothes to be able to support my little sister and me.
I have a little sister who is 7 years old, her name is Sherlyn, I get along well with her, although sometimes we fight, we love each other very much and I have to take care of her.
Forjando Huellas for me is my school, a second home, where I learned many things like reading, adding, writing, and it also taught me values. There I found good friends and a teacher who teaches me with love and now I miss her very much.
I am in the Nazaria Ignacia March school and what I like the most is the place of the vegetable gardens, because there we plant things that we must take care of and water, in order to have a green and beautiful garden.
My happiest moment was when I went in 2017 to Argentina with my mother and father, because I went to see the place, and I went with the two of them and my little sister to see my grandparents who live there.
The saddest moment was when my father left and I also felt very sad when I found out that we would no longer go to study at my Centro Forjando Huellas because of the pandemic.
My greatest wish is to see my father again and receive his support, and also that this pandemic ends soon to avoid the suffering of so many people.
When I grow up I want to study to be a policeman and help the citizens and help my mother who does everything possible so that me and my little sister do not lack anything, she does everything possible to get us ahead and I do not want to let her down.
