The Center Forjando Huellas is proud to present a series of protraits of the inspiring children who attend the center. Today, the story of Yasmin Guadalupe.
I am 11 years old, I was born on December 19, 2010, in the department of Tarija, my mommy's name is Maritza and my daddy's name is Edgar.
My parents are very hard workers, from very early in the morning my daddy goes to work as a bricklayer and my mother cleans private houses, they are very good and do not let us lack the daily bread, and try to support us in everything. Sometimes we also go with my sister to help my mommy clean the houses, because she often gets sick.
I have one brother and on sister, an older one named Richard who is 21 years old, he already has a little son, whom I love very much; my other sister is 13 years old, her name is Mayra and although sometimes we fight, we love each other very much and we always walk together, she is very funny and witty, very different from me. I am more shy and quiet.
I live right across the street from the Center Forjando Huellas, which is a very nice center, where they supported us with our homework. We also had volunteers from Canada who taught us their culture and also helped us with our homework and gave us advice, etc. But today they are not there and the Center is not open, so I miss the volunteers and my classmates. Too bad COVID-19 appeared!
I study at the Eulogio Ruiz School. What I like most about my school are the recesses because I can play with my classmates.
My happiest moment was when my little nephew was born, he is very cute and tender, I love him very much. The saddest moment was when my mother got sick and was very ill.
My greatest wish is to be able to travel and visit many countries like Canada, Korea, Chile and Japan, I want to learn about their cultures.
When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian to be able to cure street animals and help them to have a home. I love animals, that's why in my house I have 14 pets : There are dogs, cats, parrots and rabbits. I love to play with them and take care of them.
